Ringshyttan’s School

This charming house built 1908 is where I live together with Bo Ringström. Here I run my workshop amd here is also plenty of space for my pieces in the Gallery. We also run a coffee shop which is open on request and on special occasions. One such event is Ljusstråk – a popular event in the area where artists open their doors to the public. Ljusstråk takes place every year in early September.

We also have a studio available to rent. The studio is spacious (~60 sqm) as it used to be a class room, with large windows and access to showers and WC. The studio has cooking facilities and a bed to stay overnight. (for the time beeing the studio is rented out for a year) On the grounds is a sports hall, 10×16 metres, that we also rent out.

The school house is in a beautiful setting – green nature and water streams. In the lovely surroundings, which is a genuine old mining area, there are great options for country walks and swimming in the lakes.

We have no set opening hours, so please feel free to visit us anytime. Just give us a call in advance to make sure we are around.

Driving directions:

Coming from Nora town, follow the signs to Striberg (8 kms from Nora).

Coming from road 50, take off onto road 244 towards Hällefors.

Just passing Gyttorp, turn right at the sign “STRIBERG 4″.

When you reach the sign Striberg, drive 100 m and turn right. Pass the big castle-like white house and then you are here.
